Emmys and Mystery Man!!!!

I am sure everyone knows by now that The Bold and Beautiful won an Emmy for Best Drama Series. But did you also know that I filmed walking the red carpet and us jumping up and down on the stage after we found out? Well, if you haven't seen that video yet, I really suggest that you do! It's a keeper! (scroll down and you'll see it)

Also, here is a picture of me and a mystery man...does anyone know who this is? Can you send me your guesses and...where are we? Now, I kind of gave it away in posts on Facebook, but still let's have some fun with this! So who is this and where are we? and why? Be as specific as you can and let's see who can figure it out!

The burning question that many of you may be thinking about...What does Bill want from Donna and Why?

If you are scratching your head at this question. Ok, here's the brief back-story.

Bill, a wealthy, powerful (and kinda cute) man comes into Eric's life to take over his company. Eric refuses and so the battle begins (for the company). But wait, maybe that's not the only battle. Along the way Bill notices Donna...Ok...so...what's he doing about it? You'll have to stay tuned of course to see what happens but now, for fun, let's discuss his motives! Oh how juicy!!!!

So, the question:

My trip to Militello Val di Catania

I just got back from my trip from Lucerne, Switzerland and Militello Val di Catania, Sicily Italy. I went there with my family: my sister Rebecca, her daughter Sienna, and my parents. Yes, I am very jet lagged!

First, I was in Lucerne for The Rose d’Or Festival, held annually and according to their web site:

draws the best of the year's new entertainment and television programming. It also boasts the most important business rendezvous platform for the onscreen entertainment community. Entry forms for the Rose d’Or competition are sent to more than 2000 producers and broadcasters, internationally.

And then, I was in Militello Val di Catania for one week to receive my honorary citizenship along with attend countless parties! I stayed in my uncle Giuseppe's house where my aunt Paola cooked every imaginable Sicilian dish. It was great! I also learned a little Italian and Sicilian. In the following posts, I'll be sure to include some great food photos from my sister along with traditional Sicilian recipes. I love Sicilian food and wine. It's incredible delicious.

Packing my high heels for Europe!

I am getting ready to fly to Europe. I will be presenting an award for Rose D'Or Academy 2009 in Lucerne, Switzerland for their 49th festival for entertainment Television programming. Wish me luck!!!!!

When those activities are over, I will fly to Catania, Sicily and start on part II of my European tour.

I will return to my great grandmother's hometown where I will have the opportunity to see the home where she lived and all of the beautiful churches. (Yes, I think there are 23 churches in this town.) I will attend the St. Nicole church where my great grandmother was baptized and attended services. I will be sure to tell you all about these events.

My uncle Giuseppe owns and works at the "best" bar in town. I will be able to enjoy the delicious coffee and pastries they make and serve. If you know my sister Rebecca, you might know that she is very involved with writing cookbooks, making food videos, and owns food companies. She wants to me to get my hand full of flour, so I will try! I plan to take many photos so that you will see this first hand on this blog.

It is also here that I am receiving a very special gift from Sicily...I'll tell you all about it when I blog so stay tuned.

The beauty of learning a new language is you can almost say anything without being embarrassed. I mean afterall you are trying and attempting to communicate so it's only natural you would make mistakes! Well, this one "mistake" was a little more deliberate, but that's ok! All in good fun!!

I am trying really hard...and if you understand these languages at all you'll see...I get them completely mixed up. But, the good news is...I do announce that I am going to Sicily in May...(or I sort of announce it because I don't really understand the question!) But I am going to Sicily in May!

And since we are lucky enough to have an international following on this blog and on Bold and Beautiful...I thought it would be really neat to share some of the best tongue twisters from around the world. And then let's compare them!

Learning from the Best!

I have to say when you get a chance to work with someone like Betty White and Susan Flannery, not only is it memorable, but you can also learn quite a lot.

When were we working together last year, I couldn't get out one of my lines fast enough during rehearsals. The line was:

"Pam belongs behind bars"

Try saying that 3 times really fast! (and do you remember the episode? If so, take your best guess and send it in!)

Anyway Betty and Susan laughed and laughed at me because I kept messing up!!! Betty told me she came to the set just to watch me do this scene even though she wasn't even in it. She just wanted to see if I could get the line out once and for all.

I'll admit, it was pretty funny. By the time I did a few more practice runs, we were all laughing pretty hard.

Thank goodness when we actually got to the taping, I did get the line out in one take!

And to top it off, Susan said-all the while laughing-"Jennifer why didn't you just change the line to something easier?"

Hmmmm...Maybe next time I'll do just that!

And did you ever have a moment where you couldn't get out exactly what you wanted to say? I'd love to hear that I am not the only one!!!

Milk - because it's inspiring and made me cry at the end (spoiler alert) and yes for those that know me, I did have to take aspirin afterwards...

Best Director
Would prefer to stay neutral...I am sure you can imagine, but if you twisted my arm, I would then have to pick...Danny Boyle. Slumdog Millionaire was AWESOME!

Best Actor
Brad Pitt - what an amazing talent. And I loved him old and young alike. And being married to an older man on the show, perhaps this touched my soul a bit.

Best Actress
Angelina Jolie - because she was so convincing and her pain was heart breaking. I don't have kids but this situation seemed impossible and it moved me deeply.

And just an aside...aren't Brad and Angelina like the most beautiful people on the planet? ok...back to the picks...

Best Supporting Actor
Heath Ledger - because this performance was breathtaking and his last. I think the two combined really sent shivers down my spine.

Best Supporting Actress
Taraji P. Henson - because she made me want to be a better person after watching her act! and she originally studied engineering! How cool is that?! Smart & beautiful.

Twestival Los Angeles...and a cool B&B PSA!

I wanted to share this very cool PSA that Bold and Beautiful did for an amazing cause...it's called Twestival Los Angeles. You might have seen this floating about on my twitter and Facebook account and I decided, based on the feedback which was overwhelming, to include it on my personal blog as well.

Here are the details...

Right now 1.1 billion people on the planet don't have access to safe, clean drinking water. That's one in six of us. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation causes 80% of all sickness and disease, and kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Many communities in developing nations could have a plentiful supply of clean drinking water just below the ground, but no way to get to it. Just $20 can provide clean water for a person in a developing country for 20 years.

This Thursday, February 12, more than 100 cities around the world, including Los Angeles, will be hosting a Twestival to bring attention to Charity: Water. (What’s a Twestival? An event organized on the social network Twitter.com.) These events are organized 100% by volunteers and 100% of the money raised from ticket sales, online donations, and other efforts will go directly to support Charity: Water projects. Charity: Water currently has projects in Bangladesh, Central African Republic, Cote D'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Me & Radio: talking with Olivia Wilder

In case you didn't catch the radio show I did last night with Olivia Wilder, here is your chance to listen to it now! It was lots of fun and the topics were diverse...from Bold and Beautiful to being half naked on the show, going commando (did I really admit to this?), sneaking out as kids and well, all that fun that happens when you get a few girls together to talk.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about the show, and yes, my sister Rebecca - who you have heard about - dropped in to chat too...it was our 2 for 1 deal for Olivia...and she definitely had her hands full! We had some great calls in from all over, including Sammy all the way from Australia! She almost skipped work for the event!

Have you ever wondered about all that cool clothing you see in the media and special events. Many of them, like the dress in this picture, are borrowed for the day! What that means is the dresses might need to be adjusted ever so slightly to make the perfect fit, and it also means "you get what you get!"

Now, why am I bringing this up?

I realized two days ago and even posted it on Facebook that I had gained a few pounds on my parents road trip! And for me, who is usually in skimpy clothing, even 2 pounds can make a difference! And of course wardrobe has their work cut out for them too if they need to loosen waistlines!

But, now that I am back home and at the gym 5 days a week, the pounds will melt! So what do I do to stay in shape? I drink lots of water and reduce my fat and carb intake! I don't go crazy but I keep it in check.

So far I haven't come up with a perfect science for what to eat to stay healthy...but I'd love to hear your ways of staying in shape! And how about if YOU ever had to borrow anything clothing and what that was like!

And I just signed up for twitter! I am figuring it out so stay tuned!

Well, I am sure we can think of a few things (like Donna in Pam's bathing suit!), but let's face it, with the super-bowl around the corner it's the perfect time to share a really awesome recipe!

Donna Logan becomes an honorary citizen of Militello, Sicily!

I really cannot read what this paper says so we'll just wing it based on what I think it says...I think it says that I (aka Donna Logan) becomes an honorary citizen of Militello, Sicily. If for any reason this is way off would someone tell me?! And they mention something about my sister...but we aren't sure either. Can anyone help me out?

Did you know that Bold and Beautiful, which is called Beautiful in Italy is the most popular show? Yes, it is true! And they obviously dub it into Italian but I have heard that a lot of fans in Italy go to the internet and watch it in English to practice the language. So, how cool is it that people all over the world are learning English from B&B!

Just think...all across Italy people (including my uncle Giuseppe, his wife Paola and kids Marco and Miro) are learning words like hussie, hot tamale, sexy, honey bear, and so on...these B&B frequently used words are now basically being taught to everyone! Don't you love it!!! I think it is really, really cool!

So this week for Donna has really been about Pam and that bikini. I guess it is a sign of the times that Donna and Pam just cannot seem to connect on a loving level...and I suppose Donna should just be thankful that Pam didn't fill the bikini lining with hot red pepper sauce...right? Could you imagine that...?! Ha ha...

And for fun, what other really neat B&B words have you heard during the course of the show? I've love to compile a list and definitions along with it...

Being half Naked on TV...and loving it!

I just posted an entry on Bold and Beautiful expressing how interesting it is that whenever my parents come to town I am some how half naked on national TV...??? but I know, I know what you are going to say.

You'll say that I am half naked most of the time on Bold and Beautiful and so it's only a question of playing the odds.

Fair enough, but when I am sitting right next to my parents somehow all that rationale goes right out the window!

But, I'll admit, I would take a racy Donna over a modest one any day of the week!

On the B&B blog, I mentioned this really interesting thing that happens to my mom...whenever she watches the show she starts to think that I really am Donna? Now I of course know she is half playing with me, but it is kinda funny! Even after the scene she kept asking "you weren't really naked were you?"....Now, I wont answer that!

So, I am with my parents in California this week and traveling with them to Palm Springs and in and around LA. They love coffee, so we have been to a few coffee shops! And early in the morning too!

We are on the road right now and I am making my sister type this!

I'll send her pictures along the way, and ask her to post them. Most of the pictures are coming from my blackberry so they might not be great but hopefully you will get the idea and feel like you are with us!

Singing in the New Year..updated with singing video!!!!

I just arrived back to Los Angeles after a full week on the East Coast. It was loads of fun! I traveled around to every one's houses to hang out and eat!

Yesterday my aunt Margie and uncle Gino hosted the Gareis family at their lake house where we broke out the x-box and played rock star for hours! I've decided this is my favorite new toy...I'll be sure to post a video soon of our singing, which..ahem..wasn't stellar but really really fun. Here are a few pictures of this amazing party!!! And the video is below...!!!!

Feeding fellow cast mates a Holiday Short Rib Stew

I think you know I love to feed people.

I do.

It’s the Sicilian genes (remember we come from Militello in Val di Catania), I suppose. So this year I decided I would share a wonderfully delicious Holiday Short Rib Stew with my cast mates. It’s super easy to prepare but does take a really long time. I got the recipe from my friend Amy, who you might remember likes to throw dinner parties all the time (remember the pool party where people went in with their clothing- yeah, that Amy). Anyway, according to her, the key is to cook this slowly. It allows the meat to absorb the tomato juice and become super tender. If you decide to make this, I’d love to hear what you think of the recipe, and if you have modifications or suggestions! Let me know. From what I could tell the Bold and Beautiful Cast masts loved it...so, hopefully that will inspire you to give it a try!

Holiday Short Rib Stew

1 tablespoon olive oil
4 heaping tablespoons of crushed garlic
10 pieces of short ribs or 1¾ pounds of chuck beef roast
1 head of garlic, cloves peeled and outer skin discarded, and cloves cut in half
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano
½ tablespoon table Salt, plus more to taste at the end
3 turns of a pepper mill
1 cup of red wine
2 32-ounce cans crushed tomatoes
3 onions, peeled and roughly chopped
2 cups of sliced mushrooms
1 handful of finely chopped fresh basil leaves
1 handful of finely chopped fresh oregano leaves
Your favorite bread

Preheat the oven to 325F, with the oven rack set in the middle.

In a heavy ceramic Dutch oven, drizzle olive oil on the bottom of the pan. Spread bottom of pan with the crushed garlic.

On a clean surface, pierce the meat with a sharp knife and stuff the half garlic cloves into it. Place the meat into the Dutch oven and cover it with the dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Pour 1/2 of the wine and half of the tomatoes over beef and then top it with the chopped onions.

Place the lid on the Dutch oven and place it in the oven to cook for 4 to 5 hours.

At this point, the meat should fall off the bone and be super tender. Remove the meat from the Dutch oven and de-fat and de-bone it. As you are doing this, make sure to keep it covered and warm. Foil works really well. Place the meat back into the Dutch oven and add in the mushrooms, the remaining wine and tomatoes. Stir everything together and cook the meat for another 30 minutes at 375F (note the oven temperature needs to be raised).

When the stew is done cooking, place it on the stove top and add in the fresh basil and oregano. Taste and season with salt if necessary. Serve immediately with bread!

A Dressing Room and A ruthless holiday gift tradition

Ok, first the dressing room...I love my dressing room at the Bold and Beautiful set…It’s cozy and full of really neat things. Recently I received some pretty cool holiday gifts that you can see in this photo. I spend a lot of time in my dressing room while I am at the studio and I take that time to read, relax, and get ready for the next scene. As much as I would like, I usually don’t have family visit me when I am on the set. It makes me a little nervous and so that makes it harder to concentrate! Do you ever have that problem when you are doing something and it makes a difference who is watching you from the sidelines? Or is it just me??

Ok, now the ruthless holiday gift tradition...

As the holidays draw near, I am thinking about what I can get for this neat family game we play. Our entire family usually does a holiday gift game which has caused fights and all kinds of drama! Just up my alley! It goes like this. To participate, you put in a wrapped gift worth about $20-$30. You than select a number from a hat. Your number tells you what order you get to pick a gift from the pile. The first person picks a gift and unwraps it for everyone to see. The second person gets to take that gift and send the person they took the gift from back to the gift pile to pick another gift. And so on and so on. So having a higher number is the best because you can have a pick from all the opened presents, sending that person back to the pile.

It can get very dicey when there is one thing that everyone wants. And when family heirlooms of no real retail value but sentimental value work their selves into the pile! And if we are very lucky, in the end, when everyone has their gift—for better or worse and all the drama in the world—it’s usually smiles all around!

For Donna, so far, I have this list:

Surely there must be more...can you help me figure this out...

And some have asked, "what's the real difference between when this happens in real life and when you are acting?" For me, when I act them out, the emotions have to be the same as in real life. I guess what I have learned is that to make these kisses convincing, I really have to be in that state of mind...Speaking of which, how many of you saw what happened yesterday to poor Donna? Eric KISSED Stephanie!

Wasn't that beyond shocking that poor Donna is OUT! Listen, even my own parents called me totally shocked saying (and they know the show isn't real, but still...) "What the heck is Donna doing letting Eric slip away and kiss someone else?!"

Now based on last week's voting, 40% of you are cheering that Eric dumped Donna...

Poor Donna, will she ever get a break? And who else will she be kissing? Or maybe for now, she'll be licking her wounds and watching others kiss from the sidelines...

What we really want? Love and Good Laughs

So, are you just hanging off the edge of your seat watching poor Donna Logan do her "I'm not that into you dance" at the office with Owen as he bombards her with advances and sweet smiles? And he sure is cute. And as you know, we aren't the only one watching Donna to see how this forbidden fruit might tempt her. Eric has his own special eye in the sky to monitor Donna's every move. OK, so in honor of Eric setting up a situation because he loves Donna...I wanted to share with you this really silly video we filmed about Gnomes in the Woods. Now, most of you are grown ups and realize gnomes aren't (ahem) real. Right? You do realize that...but the kids in this video don't realize that at all. They believe it.

So, I ask you...what's the difference between these kids believing in gnomes, and poor Donna in her situation. In this example could "Owen" be like the gnome? Placed in the perfect spot to create a stir? And I guess, the question is, will Donna go looking? Ok, I am stretching this here as the best excuse to share my Gnome video...the parlay wasn't smooth, but just wanted to create some good laughs...because in the end, isn't that what we all really want...I think so.

Living in Los Angeles

In that entry I didn't get into that much detail about a typical night on the party scene. For sure, it can be pretty crazy and every group of friends has their on places to hang out. Just to give you a few details...

The Dinner Party
My friends like to meet up for a "dinner parties". Dinner usually begins at 7 or 8 and can go for hours. If the person is lucky enough to have a pool, the party ends up in the water. I wrote about one party I attended in the valley a few weeks ago, where half the guests ended up in the pool with their clothing on. I know that sounds like scene from a movie...right? Interested in hearing what's prepared? Let me know...

Everyone Drives
In LA everyone drives, so it's not hard to see which house is having a bash. Cars can be parked for blocks along the road. When I go to a place like that and you can actually hear the music before you see the house, it reminds of my college and going to a frat party. Anyone else having this memory?

The Restaurant
In LA going to a restaurant can be entertaining if you pick the same place minutes before as say someone really famous. All the photogs are there hanging out on the sidewalk and the famous person is inside. The people in the restaurant don't really care, and it's business as usual. Or at least it looks that way. However the scene outside is different. Bodyguards, SUVs, and lots of flashing. The most famous person I have seen eating in LA has to be Brad Pit.

So, what's your impression of LA and have you ever been here? Is there something you want to know about living here? Go ahead and ask away.

Oh, the picture at the top is my Grand Aunt Vicki and her granddaughter that wants to get into acting (so my second cousin?)...I included this picture here because none of her friends believe we are related. I hope this proves it...let me know Shelbi!

You Never Really Grow up at "Home"

Did you ever notice that when you go "home" you never really grow up? Well, in my house, it's certainly the truth.

Last week I was on the East Coast hanging out with my family...and even though I am "all grown up", my mom still doles out the chores. And probably, it's a good thing because we all learned at any early age it's just part of life. BUT, I will admit, sometimes it transports me back to feeling just like a little kid! Which is also probably good because it keeps me in check.

So, many of you have seen my Compost Video on YouTube, but for those of you that haven't, I included it here...

This is me teaching my sister all about composting. Ha Ha, which in itself is hilarious because let's face it...I am a LA Diva now! And she is a NYC Momma with no chance to compost (I mean central park police would probably arrest her if she did this!)

So, basically, it's just us trying to have some fun with a chore that our mother gave us. See, acting like little kids again...but we sure do love it!

Script Practice Makes Perfect

When I have a script to read, I practice a few hours a day until I memorize my lines.

I have gotten use to it and have found little tricks to helping me remember.

Usually I try and put myself in the place of Donna Logan and how she would react and what she would say. Once I tap into her point of view, it's actually quite easy, or perhaps I should say, easier.

When I was on the East Coast, I took advantage of the fact that one of my nieces is an excellent out loud reader. So I put her to work. In this picture she plays Eric, and why she is wearing a cap. She felt that she needed that prop to put her in character (oh boy, looks like another actress in the making!)

I had a great time working on the lines with her and I am sure when "Donna" gets to film them with "Eric"...I'll be giggling to myself as I remember who helped me make these lines perfect.

And yes, I did blur the script! You guys are so resourceful...and I want to make sure that every episode is a surprise!!!!

A long way from LA...and a Sicilian Family Recipe

This week I am on the East Coast visiting family.

I am here for my grandmother's 90th birthday party. And I have to admit, I feel a little like a fish out of water. I have gotten so used to living in Los Angeles that coming back home is a little of a cultural shock. But, it's great to reconnect and one way to do that is through food!

And yes, I am eating a few too many whoopie pies and Sicilian treats, but as you will read on my Bold and Beautiful blog, I am working out to make sure I keep my figure. (it should be up sometime today, click here to see it)

So because I am home and around my huge and very loud Sicilian family, it seems totally appropriate to post a recipe! Afterall, don't you want to know what I am eating? I know this is a departure from my blog norm, but... oh well.

Sicilian "S" Cookies
My Great Great Grandmother, Concetta, lived in Militello, Sicily with her daughter Sebastiana when she taught her the “S” cookies recipe. In 1905 the recipe was brought to America by Sebastiana and later taught to her daughter, Josephine, (my grandmother that's turning 90!) who gave it to her daughter, Dolores (my mom), who in turn gave it to her children (I'm one of them!).

This is the recipe written by my grandmother's handwriting...her instructions are brief to say the least. To make the "S" shape just roll the dough in your hands. And any shape works, so get creative, if you like! Let me know how it turns out. And don't forget the powdered sugar! That really makes the cookie...

Getting Sewn: what it sometimes takes for that fashion fit!

Did you know that sometimes to get that snug look, you actually have to be sewn or taped into your clothing.

Yeah, it's true (or at least it is for me).

And so, if you like to drink lots of water like I do...sometimes it can be a real challenge!

So last week you heard about using double stick tape to ensure that the back of your bathing suit stays in place (on your bottom) while you walk...and I was really surprised I didn't get any comments about that. Ok, maybe everyone already knows that trick and it's just not a big deal--though let me tell you, removing that tape...not so fun!

Did you know that when I got dressed up for Thorne and Donna's wedding, they taped and sewed me into that dress? Remember the cleavage? Well, how did you think it got that way?! Kinda neat. It is amazing all the work and effort that wardrobe goes though...

And to contrast, for Eric's wedding wardrobe made the dress so lighweight it was like wearing nothing at all...hee hee.

Does the use of tape and sewing still sound strange? Well, look at it this way...if you are moving around, the dress/clothing will move with you. And the only way to be sure that everything stays in it's exact place is to use tape and possibly sew it together on the spot and in place...(but if anyone knows of another way...oh please send me your thoughts and suggestions!)

Walking the Dogs and the Long Awaited Roller Hair Picture

Ok. I am still trying to get the puppy playdate picture posted on this blog but it is going to take a few days. The thing is, it's not in my camera, but my friend Amy's computer blew up on her last week. No joke. So, depending on how that saga plays out...it might be a few days. So instead for all those doggy fans, I am posting an ad I did for Evian where I am walking this beautiful dogs. This was lots of fun!

And before the weekend, I am leaving you with my roller hair picture. This is a few years old and the day of a 6th Day premiere...so, actually, really old! These rollers turned my hair into corkscrews, which was cute.

For an event, like the one in Monte Carlo, I had a professional makeup artist. But sometimes, and probably more often than not, I do it myself. And yes, there are all kinds of makeup and dress tricks out there. I know just a few and will share one here that will really get you thinking...did you know that if you are wearing a bathing suit for scene and you have a lot of walking to do...you can add a piece of double stick tape on your bottom so the suit doesn't slip...mind you, it only works for a little bit of time and you want to make sure the tape isn't too strong...because eventually, you want it to come off. And trust me you want that part to be easy!!! hee hee!!! Have a great weekend!

I got this picture from Angelique...she found the Naked Cowboy! I haven't had that much luck, but after seeing this picture of him you can be sure I am really going to try!

I thought I would start the week out with this photo. Can you guess where this is?

It's Donna Logan (aka: me) pleading with Eric. Do you realize this image shows Bold and Beautiful being broadcast in Time Square! Isn't that neat!? And it got me thinking...has any of you actually seen the naked cowboy? even in the winter time? Oh boy, perhaps for the holidays this year, I'll have to go take a look myself.

Ok this week, I am going to post my first puppy sleepover...I am trying to locate the photo, but it wont be long! (and yes, I did find the hair roller picture, and yes, I am going to bravely post it soon too.)

And lastly, tomorrow on the official B&B site, I will post about Donna Logan's previous week...wow...it was quite intense.

This is me eating a whoopie pie all the way from the East Coast. So, what's a whoopie pie doing in Los Angeles?

Good question!

Last week I told my mom and nieces I was going to post a blog entry on my recent Bold and Beautiful crying scenes (in secret I love these scenes, they are so challenging!)...and they felt compelled to send me some comfort food! Since they know I love eating whoopie pies--and have ever since I was a kid--they tracked down my old baby-sitter Bert and had a cooking session with her.

Boy, was I thrilled and surprised to receive pumpkin and chocolate whoopie pies in the mail! And here are a few pictures of their cooking lessons with Bert! Thanks Bert and girls! I really appreciate it (and so do all my friends that are trying to swipe them!)

Did you know that Bold and Beautiful is an International Hit? It's true and really quite cool. Recently I received an article from my friend Nadia who's family is from Romania. I posted the full article on my B&B site, click here to see it.

And just yesterday, my sister got an e-mail from Angelique just exploding full of articles from Holland. Check out just one below...Angelique, what does this article say? (I hope it's good stuff about Donna Logan!) And she also got the cover of Australian Soap World from Sam. Ok, that's English...phew!

It's kind of neat to think that Bold and Beatuiful is being broadcast all over the world. I also recently learned that some countries show it at night instead of during the day. I wonder why. Any thoughts?

Just wanted to share and wish everyone a happy weekend. Tomorrow, I'll probably get caught up on sleep and clean my apartment. There are papers everywhere. As I have in the past, if I find anything interesting, I'll be sure to post it...My sis and mom asked me to find this really funny picture of me with rollers in my hair. The Bear Calls Pouring in...

I am still enjoying my week off from filming at B&B, though I do miss it. It's a great job and most of all lots of fun. How many jobs have honey pored all over you? My hair was sparkling clean for days! Everyone in my family called to tell me how much they loved the bear episode. Me too. I am one of five kids, with twelve nieces and nephews, and twenty-some cousins; so just imagine. To give you some idea...here are a few photos!

The Weekend is Here!

The weekend is here and I am going to go over my lines for this upcoming week as well as cleaning up my apartment. I had a few friends over last week and well, I've been traveling and before you know it the dishes are piled a mile high in the sink. Actually I really like to clean my apartment...and if I find anything interesting I'll be sure to post it.

And this morning I am going to head out to get a coffee. My favorite is skinny soy latte. Ok! Off to recharge and clean!

I am posting a picture I found...oh my goodness...what a cute skirt!? Smile! I think this was for the holidays last year. Any suggestions for this year's picture?

La Dolce Vita: Monte Carlo!

Ok. So the title is in Italian when it should probably be in French. Sorry. My family comes from a town in Sicily called Militello and so I know enough Italian to get into trouble. Please forgive me (and if someone wants to send me the correct French phrase, please do!)

So, here are a few pictures from my trip to Monte Carlo. The hair, make-up, and dresses were amazing. If I could live like this everyday...alas. This trip lasted one week and was packed with great activities. The highlight of course was accepting an award for the show Bold and Beautiful. Did you know B&B is popular all over the globe? And in my family's hometown Militello, it is the #1 daytime show? It's neat to think that my relatives in Sicily are watching me on B&B! Thanks for watching and helping make this show popular!

Me in Monte Carlo and enjoying the sun, water, and great company!

This summer the soap opera, The Bold and Beautiful, sent myself ( Donna Logan) and Kyle Lowder (Rick) to be their representative at the film festival in Monte Carlo to accept the award as the #1 soap opera in TV.
I had the chance to live like a princess for a week! It was a wonderful experience!
And for those who are wondering, the answer is yes. Prince Albert is really cute and so charming! I am going to post a few pictures in my next blog entry, so make sure to stay tuned.

Summer Family Reunion and My Birthday

One of the things I did to celebrate my birthday was to fly home to visit my family on the East coast. We had a huge family reunion and it was wonderful! I had the chance to hang out and go boating, swimming, crabbing, and of course eat cake!

Ok, silly title, but you'll enjoy the humor once you read this entry.

I had a wonderful summer vacation and I am ready to work. You will not believe what happens on the CBS soap opera The Bold and Beautiful. It is so exciting!
You have to watch it to believe it. Pam* and I (playing Donna Logan) filmed it and I still cannot believe it.

We have a scene with a 600+ pound Grizzly Bear! O.K. is trained, but still that is a pretty big animal! I had a lot of concerns until the film department told me just how all of this could be done. Just watch and give me your thoughts. You will hear plenty of screams and shouts, you might not want to have the volume on the TV too loud, but know that it was filmed safely (I'm alive, so really how bad could it be...) The worst that happened is that my hands were a tiny bit sore from being tied so tightly.
